Music used in Zumba® Class

What makes zumba classes so much fun? The music! The music used in zumba fitness classes is
invigorating and intoxicating. It is meant to make you MOVE so you will be motivated to workout with a
stronger intensity which means you will burn more calories!

It is also meant to be fun so it will inspire you to stick to your workouts and exercise more!

Zumba uses primarily Latin music such as merengue, salsa, cumbia, samba, cha-cha, reggaeton,
bachata and axe, but instructors have the freedom to incorporate any other style of music they want.
Other types of music used in Zumba class can be bellydance, soca, calypso, hiphop, tango, bhangra,
swing and even Broadway!

Zumba instructors are trained to use visual cues while teaching. In other words they do not speak. Why?
Because they want you to FEEL THE MUSIC!
